Role: Technical Controller

Experience: 1215 years

Qualification: Chartered Accountant (CA)

Location: Bangalore

Preferred Background: Big 4 experience or Corporate Controllership role in a large organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Accounting Expertise:

- Research, interpret, and document complex accounting treatments under Ind AS / IFRS / US

GAAP.

- Draft comprehensive technical memos and accounting position papers.

- Formulate the companys official accounting positions on significant transactions and matters.

Financial Reporting & Compliance:

- Ensure accurate recording in books with full compliance to the accounting literature.

- Support financial statements preparation with correct disclosures and clean audit outcomes.

- Track updates to GAAP and emerging accounting standards and assess their impact.

Business Advisory & Issue Resolution:

- Provide accounting guidance on new business transactions, contracts, M&A, restructuring, etc.

- Apply accounting concepts to real business scenarios to facilitate effective decision-making.

- Evaluate accounting treatment for new products, business models, and strategic initiatives.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

- Work closely with business controllers, tax, legal, treasury and other functions.

- Present and discuss accounting positions with business teams and auditors for alignment.

Implementation & Training:

- Lead implementation of new accounting standards.

- Train finance teams on technical updates and industry practices.

- Maintain awareness of how similar companies treat technical matters.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

- CA with 1215 years of strong technical accounting exposure.

- Background in Big 4 (audit or technical accounting) or large corporate controllership.

- Excellent analytical, communication and documentation skills.

- Strong ability to simplify complex accounting concepts for business partners.
