We are looking for a detail-oriented Technical & Commercial Governance Specialist to ensure compliance, accuracy, and risk management across all blind bid submissions. This role will work closely with the Bid Manager to review technical and commercial elements of proposals, ensuring they meet framework requirements, internal standards, and client expectations.

Responsibilities:

Governance & Compliance:

- Review all technical and commercial sections of bids for accuracy and compliance.

- Ensure adherence to framework rules, legal requirements, and internal policies.

Risk Management:

- Identify and mitigate technical and commercial risks in proposals.

- Validate pricing structures, terms, and conditions against company guidelines.

Technical Assurance:

- Verify solution designs, specifications, and deliverables align with client requirements.

- Liaise with technical teams to confirm feasibility and resource availability.

Commercial Assurance:

- Validate cost models, margin calculations, and pricing strategies.

- Ensure commercial terms are competitive and aligned with business objectives.

Process Improvement:

- Develop governance checklists and templates for bid submissions.

- Provide feedback to improve future bid quality and compliance.

- Strong understanding of technical solution design and commercial principles.

- Experience in governance, compliance, or risk management within bids or projects.

- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.

- Ability to work collaboratively under tight deadlines.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and governance tools

Qualifications:

- Technical Certifications: Cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP), Networking (Cisco), or relevant vendor accreditations.

- Commercial/Project Management Certifications: PRINCE2, PMP, or Agile.

- Bid/Proposal Certifications: APMP or Shipley training.

- Legal/Contract Knowledge: Familiarity with public sector procurement regulations and frameworks.
