About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Business Development Manager to expand our footprint in the Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) and renewable energy domains. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business development, sales, or strategy within the energy or power sector, coupled with a solid understanding of financial and technical aspects of energy solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the BESS, commercial, and industrial markets.

- Conduct market research to analyze trends, regulatory developments, and competitor activities to drive informed strategic decisions.

- Build and manage a strong sales pipeline through proactive prospecting, networking, and lead generation.

- Establish and maintain long-term relationships with key stakeholders such as utilities, EPCs, developers, and energy service providers.

- Collaborate with engineering, product, and finance teams to develop optimized BESS solutions tailored to client needs.

- Prepare and lead proposals, RFPs, and tender submissions in coordination with technical teams.

- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and commercial terms to ensure mutually beneficial and profitable agreements.

- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and conferences to enhance visibility and brand presence.

Qualifications & Requirements:

- Master's/Bachelors degree in Business, Engineering, Energy Management, or a related field.

- 3-5 years of experience in business development, sales, or strategy within the energy storage, renewable energy, or power sectors.

- Preferred experience with a generator manufacturer or channel partner (North Region candidates preferred).

- Demonstrated ability to close deals in BESS, solar + storage, or related energy solutions.

- Basic understanding of BESS technology and applications.

- Strong grasp of financial models such as PBP, ROI, and IRR.

- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

- Familiarity with energy regulatory frameworks, incentives, and grid services (energy arbitrage, peak shaving, etc.).

- Proficiency in CRM tools and MS Office Suite.
