Team Leader - Financial Controller - Pesticides Manufacturing - CA

Role Overview

The Team Leader - Financial Controller will be responsible for managing end-to-end financial controllership for Star Agri Farm Solutions. The role requires strong expertise in direct and indirect taxation (especially GST), financial governance, compliance, and team leadership, supporting a fast-growing agri-inputs business.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead financial controllership including accounting, closure, reporting, and statutory compliance.

- Ensure strong GST compliance including filings, reconciliations, assessments, and audits.

- Manage direct tax matters, coordination with tax consultants, and regulatory authorities.

- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and MIS for business leadership.

- Partner closely with Operations to support business decisions, pricing, margins, and working capital.

- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of junior finance professionals.

- Ensure robust internal controls, SOPs, and process discipline aligned with group standards.

- Support audits (statutory, tax, internal) and ensure timely closure of observations.

- Drive process automation and system improvements in finance operations.

Candidate Profile:

- Chartered Accountant

- 4-6 years of experience in financial controllership roles.

- Must have experience in agri / chemicals / pesticides manufacturing industries.

- Strong hands-on expertise in GST and direct taxation is mandatory.

- Experience in managing teams and working in high-growth, operationally intensive environments.

- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to work in matrix reporting structures.

- High attention to detail, strong analytical ability, and execution focus.
