Role Overview:

- The Team Leader - Financial Controller will be responsible for managing end-to-end financial controllership for Star Agri Farm Solutions.

- This role requires strong expertise in Direct and indirect taxation (especially GST), Financial governance and Compliance.

- The position supports a fast-growing agri-inputs business.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead financial controllership including accounting, closure, reporting, and statutory compliance

2. Ensure strong GST compliance including filings, reconciliations, assessments, and audits

3. Manage direct tax matters, including coordination with tax consultants and regulatory authorities

4. Oversee budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and MIS reporting

5. Partner closely with Operations to support business decisions, pricing, margins, and working capital

6. Lead, mentor, and develop a team of junior finance professionals

7. Ensure robust internal controls, SOPs, and process discipline aligned with group standards

8. Support audits (statutory, tax, internal) and ensure timely closure of observations

9. Drive process automation and system improvements in finance operations

Candidate Profile:

1. Chartered Accountant (CA)

2. 4-6 years of experience in financial controllership roles

3. Experience in agri / chemicals / pesticides manufacturing industries is mandatory

4. Strong hands-on expertise in GST and direct taxation

5. Proven experience in team management and high-growth environments

6. Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to work in matrix structures

7. High attention to detail, strong analytical ability, and execution focus
