Role Overview

The Team Leader - Financial Controller will manage end-to-end financial controllership for Star Agri Farm Solutions.

This role requires strong expertise in:

- Direct and indirect taxation (especially GST)

- Financial governance

- Compliance

- Team leadership

- The position supports a fast-growing agri-inputs business and plays a critical role in financial decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead financial controllership, including accounting, closure, reporting, and statutory compliance

- Ensure strong GST compliance (filings, reconciliations, assessments, and audits)

- Manage direct tax matters, including coordination with consultants and regulatory authorities

- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and MIS reporting

- Partner with Operations on business decisions, pricing, margins, and working capital

- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of finance professionals

- Establish and maintain robust internal controls, SOPs, and process discipline

- Support statutory, tax, and internal audits, ensuring timely closure

- Drive process automation and system improvements in finance operations

Candidate Profile

- MBA in Finance or related field

- 4-6 years of experience in financial controllership roles

- Industry experience in agri / chemicals / pesticides manufacturing

- Strong hands-on expertise in GST and direct taxation (mandatory)

- Proven experience in team management and high-growth environments

- Strong stakeholder management skills in matrix organizations

- High attention to detail with strong analytical and execution capabilities
