Duties and Responsibilities:
Collection strategy:
- Set collection business plan that maximizes profits and asset growth of the company.
- Improve collection performance through developing key strategies including segment of accounts, allocation and activity, organization and team structure, outsourcing, and repossession criteria.
- Monitor collection performance through business analysis such as KPI and Performance Quality Review.
- Improve collection policies according to strategic direction.
Collection management:
- Select and assess collection vendors to improve performance and efficiency of outsourcing.
- Receive reports from collection managers who manage vendors and supervise them.
- Determine and approve on operational tasks including allocation, activity, litigation, repossession, write off, and complaint resolution.
- Oversee improvement and introduction of collection systems.
Team management and employee development:
- Lead and develop employees to increase skills and competencies.
- Promote effective teamwork and an inclusive environment for all employees.
- Coach direct reports and ensure they understand their impact on the team.
- Set and clearly communicate expectations.
Collection process set up for launching:
- Review collection policy and set up detailed operational process for the policy.
- Direct and ensure that all employees develop and test for collection management.
- Support all other duties related to the launch.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Understand collection process and KPIs pertained to auto finance product.
- Possesses strong critical thinking, problem solving, and decision making skills.
- Demonstrates strong presentation skills and ability to explain complex concepts.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
- Power Point Presentation development and presentation skills.
- Excellent interpersonal relations skills, including relationship building with internal and external customers.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelors degree/PG
- 12+ years of relevant experience in collection within Consumer Financial Services, Automotive Finance industry background preferred.
