
Strategy
- Responsible for the definition of a local Procurement strategy in alignment with Procurement
and business strategies in alignment with PUM
- Safeguarding deployment of global and regional strategies within all local purchasing activities
- Providing local input for global and regional strategies in relevant categories
Procurement Business Partnering
- Roll-out of Procurement priorities into area of responsibility
- Knows the market of responsibility and utilizes this knowledge to the best achievement of the Business targets and the development of own categories
- Managing local Procurement activities against the needs of local demand owning functions and overall SC/business priorities in the area of responsibility as well as defined global or regional Procurement priorities and roadmaps
- Acts as Procurement eyes in the market of responsibility and transfers consumer/customer trends and supplier innovations to the corresponding area in the Procurement organization (PU / region)
- Accountable and responsible for negotiations and contracting of conditions with suppliers (prices, TCO, payment terms, quality levels, etc.) within Sub-PU towards agreed local business targets and Procurement scope
- Continuously reviewing contracts, seeking for opportunities to maximize Procurement value contribution
Performance Management
- Setting top-down targets for own team based on targets and Procurement top-down expectations and considering market development
- Monitoring target achievement, initiating corrective actions as required
Risk Management
- Implementing supply risk management processes and initiation of mitigating actions in conjunction with Global & Regional peers
Procurement Processes & Systems
- Safeguarding compliance with legal requirements, Procurement and non-Procurement procedures as well as compliant use and maintenance of data in all relevant systems within own Sub-PU
- Supporting the continuous improvement of global Procurement standards
- Actively leveraging global standards and best practices to improve local Procurement practice by connecting to peers in the Procurement Community
Supplier Management
- Providing local input to the process to qualify, select and monitor suppliers
- Consulting audits
- Actively managing supplier relationships to ensure suppliers are able and willing to fulfill requirements
- Actively working with suppliers to achieve innovative solutions

People Development
- Building an engaged team of Procurement professionals
- Developing peoples capabilities, providing individual development plans
