About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and target-driven IT Inside Sales Team Lead to drive lead generation, opportunity qualification, and revenue growth through strategic inside sales initiatives. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in IT solution selling, exceptional communication and leadership skills, and a strong record of achieving and exceeding sales targets in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
As the Team Lead, you will play a critical role in managing the inside sales function guiding a team of sales specialists, refining lead pipelines, and collaborating closely with external sales and marketing teams to ensure continuous growth and client acquisition.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead Generation & Qualification:
- Source, identify, and qualify new business opportunities through inbound inquiries, outbound calls, and targeted email campaigns.
Team Leadership:
- Manage and mentor a team of inside sales professionals to ensure performance excellence, productivity, and goal achievement.
Sales Pipeline Management:
- Develop and maintain a healthy pipeline by tracking lead progress, ensuring accurate CRM data, and optimizing conversion ratios.
Customer Needs Analysis:
- Engage with prospects to understand business requirements, pain points, and technology needs to recommend suitable IT solutions.
Collaboration & Coordination:
- Work closely with the field sales team to route qualified opportunities for further development and closure.
Strategic Prospecting:
- Research target accounts, identify decision-makers, and drive interest through tailored outreach campaigns.
Reporting & Metrics:
- Prepare weekly and monthly reports on lead generation activities, pipeline status, and sales performance metrics.
CRM Management:
- Ensure consistent data integrity and account profiling within CRM systems to support marketing and sales operations.
Quota Attainment:
- Consistently meet or exceed individual and team sales targets and KPIs.
Required Background & Experience:
- Minimum 10 years of experience in Inside Sales within the IT or Technology Services industry.
- Proven success in B2B lead generation, opportunity qualification, and pipeline management.
- Strong background in selling Email Solutions, Messaging Solutions, Data Centre, or Hosting Solutions.
- Demonstrated track record of exceeding sales quotas and delivering measurable business outcomes.
- Hands-on experience with CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, Zoho CRM) for database management and lead tracking.
- Excellent communication, listening, and presentation skills with the ability to engage and influence senior decision-makers.
- Strong analytical mindset and ability to derive insights from lead data and performance metrics.
- Highly organized, proactive, and comfortable working with performance-based (fixed + variable) compensation structures.
