Team Lead - EU Financial Reporting - CA

Role Overview:

As the Team Lead - EU Financial Reporting, you will be at the forefront of ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting for our European operations. Your day-to-day will involve overseeing the preparation and analysis of financial statements, ensuring compliance with IFRS and relevant GAAP standards. You will collaborate closely with various teams, including accounting, finance, and internal audit, as well as external auditors. Your leadership will directly impact the accuracy and reliability of our financial data, which is crucial for informed decision-making by senior management and stakeholders, ultimately contributing to the company's financial health and strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

- Oversee the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for EU entities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with IFRS and relevant GAAP standards, to provide reliable financial information for stakeholders.

- Lead the team in the execution of the month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis, to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.

- Manage the relationship with external auditors, providing necessary documentation and support during audits, to ensure a smooth and efficient audit process and maintain compliance.

- Develop and implement internal controls over financial reporting processes, identifying and mitigating risks, to safeguard company assets and ensure the integrity of financial data.

- Mentor and train team members on financial reporting standards and best practices, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development, to enhance team capabilities and performance.

- Analyze financial data and trends, providing insights and recommendations to management, to support informed decision-making and improve financial performance.

Required Skillset:

- Demonstrated expertise in preparing and analyzing financial statements in accordance with IFRS and relevant GAAP standards.

- Proven ability to lead and manage a team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex financial information to both technical and non-technical audiences.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve financial reporting issues.

- Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) or equivalent certification.

- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
