We are looking for an experienced Tax Technology Specialist with hands-on expertise in Workday ERP and Vertex tax engine integration. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting tax automation processes by leveraging Vertex within the Workday Financial ecosystem. This role is crucial in streamlining tax reporting, compliance, and automation across global financial operations. Key Responsibilities - Lead the configuration, integration, and support of Vertex O Series tax engine with Workday ERP for global indirect tax compliance. - Work closely with tax, finance, and IT teams to gather requirements and translate them into system configurations or enhancements. - Support Workday Financials tax configuration including tax rules, jurisdiction mapping, and taxability codes. - Implement automation for indirect tax processes (Sales Tax, VAT, GST, Use Tax, etc.) using Vertex. - Ensure accurate tax determination, calculation, and reporting through Vertex for transactions in Workday. - Monitor and support tax transactions flowing between Workday and Vertex, including error resolution and performance tuning. - Assist in the design and execution of test plans, including integration testing and UAT for tax-related modules and enhancements. - Stay up-to-date with tax regulations and Vertex updates to ensure the tax engine is compliant and optimized. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement global tax requirements in multiple jurisdictions. - Provide documentation, training, and knowledge transfer to internal teams and end-users.
