Role Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and accomplished professional to lead our M&A Tax practice at the Partner level. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience advising on complex domestic and cross-border transactions, corporate restructurings, and due diligence assignments. This role involves strategic client advisory, practice development, and leadership of high-performing teams.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead and manage M&A tax engagements across deal lifecycle - from due diligence to post-deal integration.

- Advise clients on tax-efficient structuring of mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and corporate reorganizations.

- Provide strategic insights on cross-border transactions, capital restructuring, and inbound/outbound investments.

- Oversee and review tax due diligence reports and identify key deal issues.

- Collaborate with corporate finance, legal, and accounting teams to deliver integrated transaction solutions.

- Drive business development initiatives and expand the firm's M&A Tax practice.

- Build and nurture strong client relationships at senior management and board levels.

- Mentor, coach, and develop the M&A tax team members.

- Keep abreast of emerging tax laws, regulations, and market trends affecting M&A activities.

Key Skills and Competencies:

- In-depth knowledge of corporate and international tax laws.

- Proven experience in advising large clients on domestic and cross-border M&A transactions.

- Strong business acumen with the ability to identify and capitalize on new opportunities.

- Excellent leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

- Analytical mindset with the ability to deliver practical, commercially sound tax advice.

- Outstanding communication and presentation abilities.

Qualifications:

- CA / CPA / LLB / LLM in Taxation or equivalent professional qualification.

- Minimum 15 years of post-qualification experience in M&A Tax with a reputed consulting or law firm.

- Demonstrated experience in leading large teams and managing multiple client engagements.
