Responsibilities:
- You will be responsible for building and leading a team of tax professionals who are well versed in business and individual tax regulations, ensuring consistent, high-quality service delivery to our clients.
- Review corporate, partnership, and individual tax returns.
- Oversee the calculation and analysis of proprietary tax strategies for clients.
- Develop relationships with staff.
- Ensure that Seniors and Staff are up to date on current tax practices and changes in tax law.
- Provide both leadership and supervision to Tax Seniors and Staff.
- Keep up-to-date with technical developments for the business area.
- Self-review deliverables before handing them to Senior/Assistant Manager.
- Maintain attention to detail, meet deadlines, and manage time effectively.
- Respect and maintain confidentiality of client, staff, and firm information.
- Contribute to team discussions and share knowledge for group benefit.
- Understand assignment instructions and apply them as directed; seek guidance when needed.
- Understand personal and team roles based on responsibilities and objectives.
- Ensure client KPIs are consistently met in terms of quality and budgets, minimizing
escalations.
- Deliver a full range of tax services in compliance with laws and regulations within timeframes.
- Build relationships and interact with clients to provide excellent planning, consulting, and
expertise.
- Provide innovative tax planning and review complex income tax returns.
- Identify and mitigate tax risks.
- Manage tax provision and compliance processes.
- Improve processes by developing or implementing best practices.
- Demonstrate team ownership and drive.
- Research and understand potential tax regulations and participate in modelling different scenarios.
- Possess strong tax operational background and project management skills.
- Communicate and work effectively with internal and external stakeholders/service providers.
- Provide guidance and coaching to team members.
- Manage team development and performance.
- Support cross-selling and client acquisition for the firm.
- Drive process improvement, automation, and technology implementation.
Qualifications:
- Enrolled Agent or other appropriate certification (or currently pursuing).
