Note : We need only Female diversity candidates for the above positions  Position : Tax Controller   Location : Bangalore   Reporting To : GM - Tax  No. of Reportees : None  Purpose of the Position :  Provide financial oversight and controllership to tax department, by reviewing effective tax rate management, tax provisioning   - direct/indirect taxes, dealing with auditors and global HQ on tax matters, generate MIS and ensuring SoX and IFC requirements in tax operations  Context/ Scope of the position on various dimensions :  Financial / Market Complexity / Leadership Responsibilities / Immediate Focus Areas :  - Lead local and global HQ tax reporting and analysis on direct and indirect tax matters   - Coordinate with manufacturing units and Regional HOs to ensure financial hygiene in tax reporting and documentation   - Deal with tax advisors HO tax to support any tax litigation and minimize tax incidence  - Create tax data warehouse, MIS and dashboard to provide visibility to management - local and global  - Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year-end tax reports  - Establish, implementation and maintenance SoX and IFC control procedures in tax dealings  - Work with tax teams to review adequacy of tax provisions and initiate investigation into areas of opportunity  - Evaluate financial reporting systems, accounting and collection procedures, and investment activities, and make recommendations for changes to procedures, operating systems, budgets, and other financial control functions  - Sealing with internal and statutory auditors, audit preparation and execute the audit process in terms of the tax measures and reporting requirements (CARO and others)  Experience Required :  - 5-7 Years of experience in Big 4 tax advisory, FMCG or Spirits industry  - At least 4-5 years of experience in taxation   Qualifications Required :  - Chartered Accountant - CA  Critical Competencies Required :  - Strong domain knowledge specifically on matters pertaining to indirect taxation especially central/state excise and service tax.  - Working knowledge of customs/TP and withholding taxes   - Ability to communicate and translate tax knowledge to business situations  - Demonstrated ability to be proactive, self-driven with the capacity to work in a dynamic work environment  - Ability to be a team player, troubleshooter and a business partner
