About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Underwriter to join our Property & Energy Department at Tata AIG General Insurance.

The role involves underwriting and managing Fire & Engineering proposals, building strong relationships with channels, and ensuring effective risk assessment and pricing strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

- Review, analyze, and assess Fire & Engineering insurance proposals.

- Provide competitive quotes and underwrite proposals based on company guidelines.

- Bind and process converted proposals within stipulated timelines.

- Interact regularly with distribution channels for new business and renewals.

- Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and risk management standards.

- Contribute to portfolio growth through sound underwriting decisions.

Desired Candidate Profile:

- Background: Candidates must be from the General Insurance industry.

- Experience: Total experience up to 6+ years, with at least 3 years in Fire & Engineering Insurance.

- Education: Engineering background will be an added advantage.

- Strong analytical, communication, and relationship management skills.

- Ability to work independently and deliver results under tight deadlines
