Job Title: Head of Engineering.

Location: Gurugram.

Job Description:

- We are seeking a dynamic and visionary Head of Engineering to lead our software development center in Gurgaon.

- This role is pivotal in shaping our enterprise architecture, driving modern software engineering practices, and embedding DevSecOps across the organization.

- You will be responsible for building scalable, secure, and high-performance systems that power our digital insurance platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

- Leadership & Strategy - Lead and mentor a high-performing engineering team of 150+ professionals.

- Define and execute the engineering strategy aligned with the company's digital transformation goals.

- Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Enterprise Architecture:

- Own and evolve the enterprise architecture to support scalability, agility, and resilience.

- Ensure alignment between business goals and technology architecture.

- Drive adoption of microservices, APIs, cloud-native architectures, and event-driven systems.

Software Engineering Excellence:

- Establish and enforce best practices in software development, testing, and deployment.

- Champion agile methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and test automation.

- Ensure high code quality, performance, and maintainability across all products.

DevSecOps & Security:

- Integrate security into every phase of the software development lifecycle.

- Implement DevSecOps practices to ensure secure, compliant, and auditable systems.

- Collaborate with InfoSec and compliance teams to meet regulatory requirements (e. , IRDAI).

People & Delivery Management:

- Build and scale engineering teams with a focus on talent development and retention.

- Oversee project delivery, resource planning, and performance management.

- Drive engineering KPIs such as velocity, quality, uptime, and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications & Experience:

- 15+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.

- Proven experience in leading large-scale engineering teams (100+ people).

-Strong background in enterprise architecture, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), and modern tech stacks.

- Deep understanding of DevSecOps, agile delivery, and secure coding practices.

- Experience in BFSI or insurance domain is highly desirable.
