Job Title: Head - Network Project & Material Management

Organizational Context:

The Head Network Project & Material Management plays a pivotal role in designing, delivering network projects & material management par excellence that is required for the smooth functioning of the organization. This role ensures partnering with SCM / OEM / NOC / Field / Engg. / Operations / Customer success team to ensure proper alignment of organizations Goal & Objectives to drive project deliverable.

Job Purpose / Role Summary:

The role is accountable for driving Key network projects in alignment with business. The incumbent will develop & implement project plan & project rollout fostering operational excellence that drives business.

Key Stakeholders:

SCM, Procurement, Finance, Field Operation & customer success team

People Leadership:

May mange a team of Material management, inventory along with team member.

Key Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Project Management.

- Must have Experience in managing various project types, such as Telecom Green field & Brown field projects, Civil Project.

- Experience in handling O&M of telecom network.

- Experience in handling B2B and B2C service to customers.

- Ensuring vendor & other stakeholder management

- Driving SCM, and other supporting functions to ensure resource and manpower availability for completion of project on time.

- Implementation of Network upgradation plans to enhance backhaul and backbone capacity.

- Handling Critical functions like Intracity, NLD, FTTx, MAST, ROW, Quality, Safety, PMO & PNC.

- Complete Network & Fiber rollout & Network implementation

- Ensuring site acquisition, Row availability, site buildup

- Must have worked on Program management of Legacy gears, Technology Refresh across network layers- Routers and Switches L3 and L2 layers [ Transport , Data and Voice ], MPLS, IAG, BRAS, OSPF, DWDM, ASON, OTN, IMS, Soft switch, MGW, Packet, SDH

- Meeting with Vendors to keep tab on weekly / monthly progress along with billing and material reconciliation.

- Driving entire state planning, deployment, and construction & O&M team to ensure 100% delivery

- Ensuring coordination with multiple support functions to deliver within timelines.

- Project Management & Upgradation of entire existing TATA Network

- Must have ability to develop and manage project plans, including setting goals, objectives, and timelines.

- Ability to lead and manage cross-functional teams, including setting roles, responsibilities, and expectations.

- Effective communication skills to ensure stakeholders are informed and engaged throughout the project lifecycle.

- Ability to analyses problems, identify solutions, and implement corrective actions to get projects back on track.

Material Management:

- Material ordering [basis consumption Trend & New plans]

- Supplier / OEM coordination

- Material distribution & Redistribution

- Material Consumption booking to SAP / Project / Customer - Order

- Inventory ageing checks and control

- Recovered material testing and Repair / Refurbishment

- Reuse of Recovered repaired / refurbished inventory

- Billing & Payment to vendors

Ideal Profile:

- 15-20 years of total experience, with 5-8 / up to 10 years in project execution for legacy Central Elements replacement (Transport, Data IP, Voice)

- Working knowledge of telecom material management basics

- Strong communication skills: presenter, analytical, influencer style

- Result-oriented, self-driven, collaborative team player

- Mumbai-based candidates preferred, with earliest possible joining

Added Advantage:

- Project Management certification will be an added advantage

- Exposure to agile ways of working or digital transformation.
