3. Tariff Analyst- Lead

Location : Pune

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead the design, development, and maintenance of data models that support complex utility tariffs, rates, and program structures.

- Automate workflows and processes using Python to enhance model efficiency and accuracy.

- Perform data validation, regression testing, and calibration, investigating and resolving discrepancies or model calibration failures.

- Manage change management processes for deploying updated models into production, including proper documentation and audit compliance.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, define modeling approaches, and deliver high-quality analytical solutions.

- Utilize Microsoft Excel (advanced functions, pivot tables) and SQL for data analysis and validation.

- Contribute to process improvement initiatives related to the rate engine, modeling practices, and sprint planning activities.

- Participate actively in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives, ensuring sprint commitments are met.

- Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation on modeling requirements, methodology, and updates for client and internal reference.

- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members, fostering innovation and collaboration.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related analytical field.

- 6-10 years of experience in data modeling, analytics, or automation projects.

- Proficiency in Python programming (basic to intermediate level) with experience in automating workflows or data pipelines.

- Strong command of Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and advanced functions.

- Good understanding of relational database concepts and practical knowledge of SQL.

- Strong analytical, logical reasoning, and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities to work with cross-functional and client-facing teams.

- Demonstrated leadership experience managing small to mid-sized teams.

- Detail-oriented and committed to model accuracy, documentation, and audit compliance.
