Role Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Data Scientist to design, build, and deploy machine learning models and data-driven solutions that solve real business problems for our clients. The ideal candidate combines strong statistical and ML fundamentals with hands-on engineering skills and the ability to translate business requirements into scalable, production-ready solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design, build, and deploy machine learning and statistical models to solve client business problems.

- Work with cross-functional teams to understand client requirements and translate them into data science solutions.

- Perform data extraction, cleaning, preprocessing, and exploratory data analysis on large, complex datasets.

- Develop and validate predictive models, classification/clustering algorithms, and recommendation systems.

- Build and maintain data pipelines in collaboration with data engineering teams.

- Deploy models into production environments and monitor performance, retraining as needed.

- Apply NLP, computer vision, or deep learning techniques where relevant to project needs.

- Communicate findings, model results, and business insights clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

- Contribute to proposal writing and solutioning for client RFPs involving AI/ML/data science components.

- Stay current with the latest advancements in ML/AI research and evaluate their applicability to client projects.

- Mentor junior data scientists/analysts and contribute to best practices and internal knowledge sharing.

Requirements:

- 5 - 8 years of experience in data science, machine learning, or applied statistics, preferably in an IT services/consulting environment.

- Strong proficiency in Python and/or R, with hands-on experience in libraries such as scikit-learn, pandas, NumPy, TensorFlow, or PyTorch.

- Solid understanding of statistics, probability, and machine learning algorithms (regression, classification, clustering, ensemble methods, etc.).

- Experience with SQL and working with large/structured and unstructured datasets.

- Hands-on experience deploying models to production (APIs, MLOps tools, cloud platforms like AWS/Azure/GCP).

- Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, Matplotlib/Seaborn, etc.).

- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work directly with client stakeholders.

- Excellent communication skills to present technical findings to non-technical audiences.

- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, or a related field.

Nice to Have:

- Experience with NLP, computer vision, or generative AI/LLM-based solutions.

- Familiarity with big data tools (Spark, Hadoop) and MLOps frameworks (MLflow, Kubeflow, Airflow).

- Experience working on client-facing IT services/consulting projects.

- Relevant certifications in data science, ML, or cloud platforms.
