The team designs and delivers technical content, frameworks, and tools that empower developers to create seamless custom solutions on TallyPrime using Tally Definition Language. They assist in managing large projects and creating seamless integration solutions between Tally and third-party applications. The team also provides learning opportunities through online courses and certifications on Tally Definition Language (TDL). The team manages a marketplace that showcases developer solutions, connecting them with millions of customers in need of business solutions, fostering a win-win situation for both developers and customers. What You Will Own Tally's software products for small and medium enterprises (SME) make life simple for millions of SMEs across India and abroad. We are looking for a Product Manager- Developer Ecosystem to join our Developer Ecosystem team. Your responsibilities will include contributing to the development of strategic frameworks for integrating third party applications and for TallyShop, Tally's marketplace. You will collaborate with various departments and partners to shape the vision, strategy, and roadmap for both the Integration platform and TallyShop, with an emphasis on enhancing infrastructure and processes to strengthen the developer ecosystem and position TallyShop as a top marketplace. Experience You Should Bring - Domain Technical Knowledge - While not necessarily a developer, a Developer Ecosystem individual should have a strong technical understanding of the platform or system they're integrating third-party products with. This includes understanding APIs, data formats, and technical constraints. - Knowledge of Integration Architecture Principles - Crucial for designing scalable and efficient integrations, involves understanding different integration patterns, such as APIs, databases, and its formats. - Relationship Building - Building and maintaining relationships with third-party vendors is essential for successful integrations. - Strong communication skills - Convey integration requirements to third-party vendors and coordinate with internal stakeholders, such as developers, product teams, and support teams. - Troubleshooting Skills - Ability to identify and address challenges that arise during the integration process, such as technical issues, compatibility issues, or changes in requirements. - Learning Agility - The technology landscape evolves rapidly, so a developer ecosystem individual should be proactive in staying updated on emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices related to integrations. - User Experience - Ensuring a seamless and intuitive user experience within the Add-on marketplace is critical for user adoption and retention. This includes usability testing, wireframing, and working closely with UX/UI designers. - Data Analytics - Proficiency in data analysis to interpret data, track add-on performance, user behaviour, and marketplace trends. This data-driven approach helps in making informed decisions regarding add-on moderation, promotion, and monetization. - Add-on Marketplace Ecosystem - Deep understanding of the ecosystem in which the Add-on marketplace operates, including knowledge of the platform or software it's associated with, its user base, and the needs of developers and users alike. - Knowledge of Quality and Security - Ensuring the quality and security of add-ons available in the marketplace is essential for maintaining user trust and platform integrity. - Tally Definition Language - Knowledge of TDL programming will be a great advantage in helping our developer ecosystem customize TallyPrime and integrate third-party applications. - Strong communication and negotiation skills are necessary for managing stakeholder expectations. What You Will Be Doing - You will empower our developer ecosystem by offering insights into both functional and technical aspects. - Design delightful user experiences. - Provide hands-on support to a high performing team that does road mapping, discovery, development, and launch of functional features in Tally's products. - Identify the key elements to elevate TallyShop to new heights and outline the steps needed to implement them effectively. - Bring consumer first mindset and work backwards. Understand consumer pain points/needs and business imperatives to define product roadmap and strategy. - Develop strong partnerships with business sponsors, product owners, architects, and developers to define feature sets, story maps, detailed user stories (functional and non-functional) to support the development process. - Develop essential technical documentation and developer references to keep developers informed about the latest product capabilities and features. - Provide strong support in team's project execution.
