Purpose of the Role:
The Head of Corporate Affairs is responsible for leading Table Space's engagement with government authorities, regulatory bodies, industry associations, and other external stakeholders across central, state, and local levels.
This role serves as the single point of accountability for government relations, regulatory approvals, statutory licenses, policy engagement, and regulatory risk management, ensuring that government and regulatory matters do not create barriers to business operations or growth.
A strategic and execution-focused leader who builds strong institutional relationships, anticipates regulatory developments, resolves complex regulatory matters, and represents Table Space's interests with credibility and professionalism.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in law, Public Policy, Political Science, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree, LLM or Executive MBA preferred.
- 15 - 18 years of experience in Corporate Affairs, Government Relations, Public Policy, or Regulatory Affairs.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a senior leadership / head-of-function role.
- Strong understanding of central, state, and local government processes and regulatory frameworks.
- Proven experience in managing statutory approvals, licenses, regulatory matters, and government stakeholders. Strong executive presence, negotiation, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
Role and Responsibilities:
Government & Stakeholder Relations:
- Build and manage relationships with central, state, and local government authorities.
- Represent Table Space with government bodies, regulators, and industry associations.
- Develop networks that support business priorities and enable timely resolution of regulatory matters.
- Maintain strong institutional relationships across key operating markets.
Licensing, Approvals & Regulatory Enablement:
- Own the end-to-end process for statutory licences, permits, registrations, and approvals.
- Establish systems to track approvals, renewals, dependencies, and regulatory timelines.
- Proactively identify and resolve regulatory roadblocks impacting business operations.
- Ensure timely escalation and closure of critical regulatory matters.
Policy & Regulatory Affairs:
- Monitor changes in government policies, regulations, and statutory requirements relevant to the business.
- Assess their potential impact on business operations and growth.
- Advise leadership on regulatory developments, risks, and opportunities.
- Lead engagement with relevant authorities and industry forums on policy matters.
Compliance & Governance:
- Establish effective mechanisms to track regulatory requirements across entities and locations.
- Partner with Legal, Compliance, Operations, and other functions to ensure timely closure of regulatory requirements.
- Strengthen governance, visibility, and accountability for regulatory matters.
- Ensure appropriate documentation and reporting of government and regulatory engagements.
Risk & Crisis Management:
- Identify government, regulatory, and policy risks that could impact business continuity.
- Advise senior leadership on emerging regulatory risks and mitigation measures.
- Lead resolution of critical regulatory escalations and government-related issues.
- Support the organisation during regulatory or policy-driven business disruptions.
Leadership & Business Partnership:
- Lead and develop the Corporate Affairs / Government Relations team.
- Partner with business, legal, compliance, operations, and other functions to enable business growth.
- Build a proactive approach to government and regulatory engagement.
- Ensure Corporate Affairs is positioned as a business-enabling function rather than a transactional liaison function.
