
Description: Location: Kolkata, West Bengal (with extensive travel across Eastern and Western India). Work Experience: Minimum 5 years (social sector experience preferred). Fluency in English, Hindi, and Bengali (verbal and written).
Position Summary:
The HR Manager will play a strategic role in strengthening SwitchONs human resources function by leading end-to-end recruitment, workforce planning, employee engagement, compliance, and cultural integration. This role is critical to building robust HR systems, improving retention, and creating a people-centric and inclusive workplace aligned with SwitchONs mission and values.
Key Responsibilities:
Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning:
- Lead end-to-end recruitment processes for all verticals, including senior-level hiring.
- Build and maintain talent pipelines; forecast workforce needs.
- Design and execute workforce planning strategies in line with organizational growth.
Onboarding & Culture Building:
- Drive smooth onboarding and induction processes for new hires.
- Facilitate cultural orientation and values-based integration of staff.
HR Policy & Compliance:
- Update, implement, and maintain HR policies and documentation.
- Ensure full compliance with labor laws, statutory requirements, and internal audits.
- Monitor and improve HR compliance audit scores.
HR Operations & Engagement:
- Manage grievance redressal systems and conflict resolution.
- Support change management, employee engagement, and HR digitization.
Data & Leadership Reporting:
- Regularly review HR data and compliance reports.
- Provide updates and insights to the senior leadership team.
Qualifications, Experience & Skills:
Educational Qualification:
- Masters degree (MBA/PGDM) in Human Resource Management.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in HRIS systems and MS Office Suite.
- Experience with AI-based HR tools and digital documentation.
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Reporting Structure:
- Reports To: Assistant General Manager Critical Supports.

- Reimbursements: Official travel, stay, and logistics as per organizational policy.
