Mandate 1 - The role is based out of Bangalore and the expectation is to work out of the Whitefield office.
About the Role:
- Swiggy Dineout is in its early stages of building and winning the dining-out category in India. We aren't just facilitating table reservations; we are fundamentally shaping the future of in-restaurant dining by unlocking massive opportunities across diverse customer segments and cities.
- As a Manager - Growth, you will be at the helm of building new growth engines from scratch. This role requires a visionary approach to TAM (Total Addressable Market) expansion, where you will move beyond traditional reservation models to capture high-frequency occasions, untapped demographics, and emerging dining formats.
- You will be expected to think like an entrepreneur-owning the end-to-end strategy from initial hypothesis and 0-1 experimentation to building the national playbooks that define how India eats out.
The Growth Charters: Unlocking the Future of Dining
- While your initial focus will involve critical pillars like O2O (Offline-to-Online) Growth and Campus Unlock, your scope is designed to be dynamic and expansive. You will lead a portfolio of strategic charters aimed at unlocking massive, uncaptured segments of the dining market:
- Format & Occasion Unlock: Driving penetration in high-frequency, low-ticket segments like QSRs (Quick Service Restaurants), cafes, and bakeries to move Dineout from a "special occasion" app to a daily habit.
- Demographic & Social Unlock: Designing playbooks for the next generation of diners (GenZ Unlock), focusing on social-led growth, group-dining incentives, and community-specific value propositions.
- Merchant-Led Growth Engines: Developing tools and incentives that empower restaurant partners to act as acquisition nodes, turning every physical table into a digital funnel.
- Hyperlocal & Niche Capture: Identifying regional dining trends and "hidden gem" categories to ensure Swiggy Dineout provides the most comprehensive supply for every neighborhood across India.
Preferred Experience:
- 1-3 years in Growth & Strategy, Category Management, or a similar high-impact role.
- Proven success in scaling new initiatives or products in consumer tech, or e-commerce.
- Deep understanding of Gen-Z consumer behavior, digital trends, and the local nuances of "campus culture" across different regions in India.
- Proven track record of running A/B tests on value propositions, pricing, or product features, and the ability to "fail fast" and pivot based on data.
- Data-driven, with experience translating insights into scalable growth playbooks.
- Track record of delivering high-impact projects across multiple cities/markets.
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
- High-agency, entrepreneurial mindset with a bias for action.
Nice-to-Have:
- Exposure to O2O acquisition models and hyperlocal activations.
- Strong network in the F&B and consumer tech ecosystem.
- Experience in creating low-cost, high-impact "viral" campaigns specifically targeted at the 18-24 demographic.
