About the Role :
- As the Director - Dineout (India One Leader), you will own the overall business performance of your geography, driving supply growth, monetization, market share, and P&L outcomes. You will work closely with the India Supply Head to unlock regional potential, build scalable city playbooks, and create a high-performing leadership bench across regions.
- This role requires strong business acumen, data-driven decision-making, deep understanding of the F&B ecosystem, and exceptional stakeholder management skills.
Key Responsibilities :
Strategy & Business Growth :
- Partner with the India Supply Head to identify the Total Addressable Market (TAM) for the region and build city-wise growth strategies to unlock market potential.
- Define region and city-specific supply strategies, prioritizing GMV-driven onboarding and defining clear AOPs.
- Ensure city-level percolation of AOPs down to clusters with strong execution rigor.
- Own regional P&L, working closely with Marketing to drive customer growth and monetization.
- Drive Ads monetization charter for the region-identify, renew, and scale monetization opportunities in line with AOP.
- Track and review key growth metrics including GMV, discounts, supply width & depth, commissions, denial rates, Rx offers, and Rx satisfaction scores.
- Create impact-driven business reports that reflect performance trends for internal leadership and restaurant partners.
- Lead regional activations such as festivals, GIRF, and hyperlocal campaigns to drive acquisition and engagement.
- Continuously benchmark competition across pricing, offers, supply, innovation, and product capabilities; drive initiatives to stay ahead.
- Lead new city expansions, building markets from scratch-hiring teams, onboarding quality supply, and driving sustainable growth.
Team Management & Leadership :
- Lead a leadership team of 7-9 City Heads, with 70+ indirect reports across Cluster Managers and Account Managers.
- Build strong performance management frameworks, career paths, and capability-building programs.
- Translate annual AOPs into quarterly and monthly plans, supported by incentive structures and inter-region competitions.
- Personally manage and nurture relationships with 10-15 marquee F&B clients who are industry thought leaders.
- Act as the senior escalation point and brand ambassador, especially in the context of evolving industry dynamics and NRAI guidance.
Cross-Functional Collaboration :
- Partner with Analytics to co-create dashboards covering growth metrics, sales productivity, competition mapping, lead prioritization, incentives, and leaderboards.
- Work closely with Customer Experience to resolve escalations, reduce TATs, and improve overall diner satisfaction.
- Collaborate with Finance to streamline processes impacting merchant experience and improve SalesForce adoption.
- Partner with Content and QAC teams to strengthen catalog quality, refresh content, and identify gaps through data-led triggers.
- Provide structured feedback to Product teams based on market insights and competitive intelligence to drive innovation.
Hyperlocal Marketing & Brand Presence :
- Work with City Heads and Marketing teams to build strong regional and city-level brand presence.
- Drive hyperlocal marketing initiatives, BTL activations, and on-ground visibility within restaurant premises.
- Optimize inventory and placements to maximize ROI for partner brands.
- Participate in periodic brainstorming sessions to ideate and execute traffic and demand optimization initiatives.
Desired Skills & Experience :
- 10+ years of experience in business leadership, sales, or growth roles, preferably in consumer internet, marketplaces, or F&B ecosystems.
- Proven experience in P&L ownership, multi-city or regional leadership, and large team management.
- Strong understanding of supply-led growth, monetization, and ads-driven revenue models.
- High comfort with data, dashboards, and performance metrics to drive decisions.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and networking skills.
- Ability to operate in fast-paced, ambiguous environments and build scalable playbooks.
