Responsibilities: - Hire/Manage/Coach/Develop a team of full stack engineers. - Manage cross functional team of frontend and backend engineers, devops, quality analysts, program management, etc serving both as people manager and technical expert to resolve technical issues and roadblocks - Lead engineers to implement new features, improvements and fixes needed to handle our current and future scale - Drive the creation of high quality, reusable, testable, and efficient code (including leading by example when necessary e.g., some ability to write code and direct code reviews) - Build, optimize and scale our enterprise platform and applications (currently React.js and Node.js) - Drive effective and iterative development methodologies and improve systems and processes - Troubleshoot production issues and prioritize solutions to ensure excellent client service and meet business objectives - Be a voice for the team and strong culture carrier with leadership - Be a key member of the senior management of the company, and contribute to product strategy, enable business development and understand and improve operations functions through technology What are we looking for: - Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related engineering/ math field - 8+ years of experience in increasingly responsible roles, building tech products (mix of B2B and Consumer experience is a big plus), and 3+ years of experience managing technical teams - Strong track record of building highly scalable platforms. - Track record of leadership within enterprise environments; ability to deliver high-volume applications with an eye for user experience. Ability to balance business needs, a sense of urgency, and shipping high quality and pragmatic solutions - Ability to lead a diverse team ranging from early-career full stack engineers to highly-specialized architects - Experience of hiring, developing talent, and managing a diverse team recognized for delivering results, intellectual horsepower, collaboration. - Advanced communication skills across a variety of audiences; ability to make the complex simple, articulate engineering vs. business tradeoffs, etc - Prior experience with streaming video, AI/ML enabled products and features, and large scale data handling is highly desirable
