About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Transport Manager to oversee and manage our employee transportation operations. The ideal candidate will ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective transport services while driving continuous improvements in service quality and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage end-to-end transport operations, including route planning, scheduling, and fleet management.

- Lead, guide, and supervise transport teams, including drivers, support staff, and coordinators.

- Ensure compliance with statutory and safety regulations (RTO norms, traffic laws, labor laws, etc.).

- Implement and monitor transport policies, processes, and SLAs to ensure smooth operations.

- Optimize routes and costs through effective planning and use of technology (GPS, transport software, if any).

- Handle vendor management selection, negotiation, and performance monitoring.

- Develop contingency plans for emergencies, breakdowns, or traffic disruptions.

- Maintain MIS reports and dashboards on transport KPIs (on-time performance, cost efficiency, safety incidents).

- Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and service excellence within the team.

Desired Candidate Profile

- Graduate / Postgraduate in Logistics, Operations, or a relevant field.

- Proven experience in transportation management, preferably in corporate employee transport or logistics.

- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

- Excellent knowledge of transport regulations, compliance, and industry practices.

- Proficiency in transport management systems, GPS tracking, and route optimization tools.

- Strong vendor management and negotiation skills.

- Ability to work under pressure and manage large-scale operations efficiently.
