Supply Planning Manager - Raw Material

Description:

This role is accountable for the end-to-end planning of Raw Materials (Base Oil, Additives, Chemicals, and Packaging Materials) for manufacturing locations. It is responsible for building resilient and efficient supply-side operations by ensuring strong raw material availability, optimized inventory levels, and supporting overall customer service and working-capital objectives. The role ensures robust planning processes, effective execution, and leadership of a team to deliver these outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

Raw Material Planning Process:

- Establish and maintain robust RM planning processes aligned with the real business environment.

- Continuously improve planning capabilities and ensure consistency across the team.

Raw Material Planning Execution:

- Deliver accurate and timely RM purchase and distribution plans.

- Monitor and drive execution rigorously, addressing challenges and removing barriers.

Working Capital & Inventory Management:

- Define optimal RM safety stock and inventory levels to meet target production and service levels.

- Deliver working-capital targets monthly, quarterly, and annually to support cash-flow objectives.

Crisis & Continuity Management:

- Lead and support actions during supply disruptions, participating in crisis-management forums to drive mitigation and resolution.

Strategic Sourcing Support:

- Partner with sourcing teams to build long-term executable supply plans that balance cost efficiency and risk mitigation.

- Refresh plans based on changes in business dynamics and contribute to sourcing strategy updates.

Cost Efficiency & Optimization:

- Identify and lead short-term cost-reduction initiatives, including BOM optimization and process improvements.

- Drive transparency in decisions involving trade-offs between cash and cost.

Resource & Asset Optimization:

- Ensure optimal deployment of inventory, storage assets, and physical tanks in alignment with business strategy.

- Minimize RM SLOB inventory through accurate planning, managing changeovers, and updating safety stocks at agreed intervals.

Support for NPI & Value Engineering:

- Collaborate on NPI and value-engineering initiatives to enhance supply-side capability and readiness.

Finished Goods SLOB Management:

- Lead the implementation of SLOB policies and drive continuous improvement in reducing FG SLOB levels.

Master Data Ownership:

- Own supply-planning master data, ensuring accuracy and consistency.

- Conduct regular reviews and drive actions to improve data quality.

People Development:

- Build planning capability by coaching and developing team members.

- Support functional excellence initiatives in collaboration with the Country Planning Manager.
