Key Responsibilities
Supply Chain Strategy & Planning
- Define and execute supply chain strategies aligned with business objectives and industry best practices.
- Lead demand forecasting, supply planning, and capacity planning to meet production and customer requirements.
- Establish and monitor KPIs to drive efficiency, service levels, and cost performance.
Supplier & Procurement Management
- Lead supplier identification, evaluation, and relationship management to ensure quality, reliability, and cost effectiveness.
- Conduct supplier reviews and performance assessments to maintain high standards.
- Lead contract negotiations to secure favorable commercial and service terms.
- Oversee procurement activities and ensure adherence to policies, budgets, and compliance requirements.
Logistics & Inventory Management
- Manage end-to-end logistics, warehousing, and distribution operations to ensure timely delivery.
- Drive inventory optimization initiatives to balance service levels and working capital.
- Ensure inventory accuracy, availability, and cost control across locations.
Production & Cross-Functional Coordination
- Partner with production, engineering, quality, and planning teams to ensure seamless supply chain execution.
- Proactively resolve supply chain issues impacting production schedules or quality.
- Maintain strong alignment and communication with all stakeholders.
Compliance & Governance
- Ensure supply chain operations comply with applicable regulatory, quality, and internal standards.
- Maintain supply chain documentation, policies, and audit readiness.
- Lead internal reviews and audits to ensure continuous compliance.
Continuous Improvement
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, reduce waste, and enhance efficiency.
- Lead cost reduction and productivity improvement programs across the supply chain.
Risk Management
- Identify supply chain risks related to supply disruption, quality, cost, or capacity.
- Develop and implement mitigation and contingency plans to ensure business continuity.
- Monitor market and economic trends to anticipate and address potential risks.
Collaboration & Leadership Communication
- Provide regular performance updates and insights to senior management.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to align supply chain activities with business priorities.
- Represent the supply chain function in discussions with suppliers, partners, and external stakeholders.
Innovation & Technology
- Stay current with emerging supply chain technologies and best practices.
- Drive adoption of digital tools and innovative solutions to improve supply chain visibility, efficiency, and resilience.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Masters degree (MBA / Operations / Supply Chain) is preferred.
Experience
- 8 - 14 years of relevant experience in supply chain, operations, or logistics management.
- Proven experience in leading end-to-end supply chain functions, including procurement, logistics, inventory, and supplier management.
- Experience in regulated or complex manufacturing environments is an advantage.
Skills Required
- Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams.
- Deep understanding of supply chain concepts, tools, and best practices.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- High attention to detail with a strong focus on quality and compliance.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills across internal and external teams.
- Hands-on experience with ERP and supply chain management systems.
