Supply Chain Manager

Description:

- Own end-to-end supply chain operations, including demand planning, procurement, manufacturing coordination, warehousing, and distribution, to ensure consistent SKU availability and minimise stock-outs.

- Lead Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) cycles by aligning demand forecasts with production and procurement plans, defining safety stock norms, and driving SKU rationalisation to improve working capital efficiency.

- Manage vendor relationships and procurement negotiations to achieve optimal lead times, cost efficiency, and quality in line with regulatory and compliance standards.

- Implement and optimise warehouse operations and Warehouse Management System (WMS) processes to enhance throughput, improve picking accuracy, and reduce expiry risk and obsolescence for sensitive products.

- Drive logistics and distribution strategies across multi-channel networks (B2B, distributor-led, and e-commerce), ensuring on-time delivery and cost-to-serve optimisation.

- Define and track supply chain KPIs, conduct root-cause analysis for disruptions, and lead continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, 5S, Kaizen) to improve service levels and reduce operational costs.

- Take on additional responsibilities as required to support overall supply chain effectiveness and business objectives.

Skills & Qualifications:

- Proven experience managing supply chain operations within e-commerce, retail, or low shelf-life product environments, with exposure to P&L ownership and distributor ecosystems.

- Strong expertise in demand forecasting and inventory optimisation, with a demonstrated ability to reduce stock-outs and excess inventory.

- Hands-on experience with ERP platforms and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).

- Strong background in procurement, vendor management, and contract negotiations for raw materials and packaging.

- Practical experience implementing S&OP frameworks and developing operational KPIs and dashboards.

- Working knowledge of regulatory compliance and expiry-sensitive product management practices.

Required Experience:

- 6-10 years of overall experience in supply chain, logistics, or operations roles.

- Minimum 3-5 years in a leadership or managerial capacity handling end-to-end supply chain functions.

- Experience working with expiry-sensitive, fast-moving, or regulated products is essential.

- Prior exposure to multi-channel distribution models including B2B, distributors, and e-commerce.

Preferred Experience:

- Exposure to pharmacy distribution networks and e-commerce fulfilment models within the Indian market.

- Familiarity with advanced analytics tools for supply chain performance insights.

- Experience with Lean or continuous improvement methodologies and related certifications.
