Job Overview :
- The Senior Supply Chain Manager will oversee and streamline all supply chain operations from sourcing to delivery.
- This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong understanding of supply chain processes, analytics, and the ability to manage teams and build vendor relationships to drive optimal performance.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Supply Chain Strategy & Planning :
- Develop and implement comprehensive supply chain strategies aligned with Merlin Brands' goals.
- Forecast demand, manage inventory, and optimize stock levels to meet customer requirements while minimizing excess stock.
2. Vendor & Supplier Management :
- Conduct supplier performance to ensure service quality and compliance with company standards.
3. Inventory Management :
- Develop and execute inventory management plans, overseeing stock levels, reorder points, and lead times.
- Implement processes to improve inventory accuracy, reduce stockouts, and manage excess or obsolete inventory.
4. Logistics & Distribution:
- Manage and optimize warehousing, transportation, and distribution operations to ensure timely delivery.
- Evaluate and select carriers, monitor shipping costs, and streamline logistics for efficient delivery and reduced transportation costs.
5. Team Leadership & Development :
- Lead and mentor a team of supply chain professionals, fostering a high-performance culture and encouraging skill development.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Sales, Marketing, Finance) to support company initiatives and meet business objectives.
6. Data Analysis & Reporting:
- Analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) related to supply chain performance and report on efficiency, cost, and quality.
- Use data-driven insights to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to drive operational efficiency.
Qualifications & Skills :
Education : Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree or MBA is preferred.
Experience : Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in supply chain management.
Knowledge : Strong understanding of supply chain principles, logistics, vendor management, and inventory control.
Leadership Abilities : Excellent team management and interpersonal skills, with experience leading diverse teams.
Problem-Solving Skills : Ability to analyse complex problems, think strategically, and implement effective solutions.
Communication : Exceptional communication and negotiation skills for managing both internal and external stakeholders.
