Role: Supply Chain Finance Controller


Job Location: Mumbai



Qualification: CA (1st or 2nd Attempt)

Experience: 7 to 10 years (MNC Companies)

Summary: We are seeking a strong business partner for the Global Supply chain organization consisting of plants in Vapi and Germany. The person will be reporting to the Global Controller and be custodian of cost of all Manufacturing, procurement and Logistics spend.

Role: Own end-to-end supply chain financial control across India operations with global alignment, covering demand/supply planning, procurement, manufacturing/CMOs, logistics/3PLs, and distribution.

Drive cost transparency, working capital efficiency, compliance (India + global), and decision support for growth and profitability.

Roles & Responsibilities:



1. Performance Management:



- Manage and drive COGS improvement through CFTs at plant, automate and drive internal controls frameworks to optimize cost and continuously track and improve

- Build and run monthly S&OP/IBP financials: volume-to-value bridges, mix, PPV, yield, OEE, freight, and inventory variances.

- Own SC P&L/Cost-to-Serve by channel/customer/region; design dashboards and root-cause analyses.



2. Cost & Productivity:



- Lead standard cost builds/rolls in ERP; track PPV, MPV, freight, duty, warehousing, and obsolescence.

- Partner with Ops/Procurement on VA/VE, vendor consolidation, and should-cost models; deliver annual productivity targets.



3. Working Capital:



- Set inventory policies with Planning: safety stock, MOQ, lead times; drive DIO reduction without service erosion.

- Optimize payables/receivables terms with Treasury and Commercial; support FX hedging and commodity risk.



4. Compliance & Controls (India + Global):



- Ensure GST compliance (e-invoicing, e-way bills, input credit), Customs (BoE, SVB, SEZ), FTP schemes, and RBI/EXIM documentation

- Base in Audit and Assurance, preferably a Big 4 articled person preferred, should be well versed with transfer pricing, customs and export compliances.



Requirements:



- 8-12 years in supply chain finance/controlling in global or export-oriented firms (FMCG, Pharma, Auto, Electronics, Industrial).

- Expert in manufacturing cost accounting, standard costing, and variance analysis.

- Strong grasp of India regulations (GST, SEZ, Customs, FTP, EPR if applicable) and cross-border flows.

- Advanced modelling and scenario analysis; excellent stakeholder management across plants, HQ, suppliers, and 3PLs.

- Tools: SAP S/4HANA, Power BI/Tableau, SQL/advanced Excel; exposure to TMS/WMS; RPA desirable.



Success Metrics (KPIs):



- Cost-to-Serve: 510% YoY, with transparent driver tracking.

- PPV/Manufacturing Variance: within budget; sustained downward trend versus baseline.

- Inventory: DIO 1020%; Obsolescence target; cycle count accuracy 98%.

- Service: OTIF 95% while maintaining cost guardrails.

- Productivity: delivery of annual cost-savings pipeline (validated and realized).

- Compliance: zero major audit findings; on-time statutory/GST reconciliations.
