Supply Chain Design & Operations Role - D2C/Online/Retail

Supply Chain & Design and Procurement:

- Develop and execute sourcing strategies for raw materials and finished goods.

- Build and manage relationships with manufacturers, suppliers and logistics partners.

- Negotiate pricing, contracts, lead times and commercial terms.

- Improve procurement efficiency while maintaining quality standards.

- Ensure timely availability of materials for production.

Product Development & Design Coordination:

- Coordinate with design, product and manufacturing teams to translate concepts into production-ready products.

- Manage artwork, packaging development and design approvals.

- Work with external design agencies and packaging vendors.

- Drive new product launches from sampling to commercialization.

Inventory & Operations:

- Monitor inventory levels and optimize stock planning.

- Forecast procurement requirements based on sales trends.

- Reduce stock-outs and excess inventory.

- Improve warehouse and supply chain processes.

Vendor Management:

- Identify and onboard new manufacturing partners.

- Conduct supplier evaluations and performance reviews.

- Drive cost optimization without compromising quality.

- Ensure supplier compliance with company standards.

Process Improvement:

- Build scalable SOPs for procurement and operations.

- Implement dashboards and reporting for key supply chain metrics.

- Work closely with founders to improve operational efficiency.

- Drive automation wherever possible.

Required Skills:

- 5-8 years of experience in Supply Chain, Procurement, Operations or Product Development.

- Experience working with startups, D2C brands or consumer products is highly preferred.

- Strong vendor management and negotiation skills.

- Experience managing packaging development and production coordination.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

- Excellent project management skills.

- Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment.

- Advanced Excel/Google Sheets proficiency.
