We are looking for an experienced Supplier Management / Procurement professional to drive standardization, governance, risk management, and financial discipline across tail spend processes. The role will focus on improving supplier efficiency, controlling spend leakage, driving cost savings, and ensuring compliant procurement execution across business units.

The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of procurement processes, supplier segmentation, tactical sourcing, procurement systems, spend analytics, and tail spend management. Exposure to AI and automation-led procurement solutions will be highly valuable.

Key Responsibilities:

- Define and standardize tail spend classification and management frameworks across business units.

- Develop supplier segmentation models covering Head, Middle, and Tail of Tail spend to determine appropriate management strategies.

- Establish and enforce procurement governance policies, approval thresholds, operating guidelines, and compliance controls.

- Drive standardization of tail spend processes across business units in alignment with the organization's overall procurement strategy.

- Identify opportunities for supplier consolidation, rationalization, and spend optimization where commercially and operationally justified.

- Manage RFx, tactical sourcing, spot-buy, and low-value procurement processes from initiation through contracting.

- Ensure sourcing activities are aligned with approved supplier panels, negotiated commercial terms, and procurement policies.

- Monitor procurement transactions for policy compliance, commercial adherence, exceptions, and potential spend leakage.

- Develop and maintain leadership dashboards covering supplier concentration, spend exposure, risk, compliance, savings, and exceptions.

- Leverage tools such as Power BI, Tableau, and advanced Excel to analyze spend and generate actionable insights.

- Establish regular reporting and review mechanisms with procurement leadership and business-unit stakeholders.

- Identify opportunities to use AI and automation for touchless sourcing, guided buying, automated approvals, and transaction processing.

- Support the implementation of predictive spend analytics and intelligent procurement solutions.

- Explore automation opportunities to reduce manual intervention and transaction costs while improving procurement compliance.

- Develop and maintain a centralized tail spend governance framework across business units.

- Track and report cost savings, process efficiency, supplier rationalization, compliance, and risk-mitigation outcomes.

- Work closely with procurement, finance, business, technology, and supplier stakeholders to resolve issues and drive continuous improvement.

Required Skills & Experience:

- 6-9 years of experience in Procurement, Supplier Management, Strategic Sourcing, Procurement Operations, or related functions.

- Strong understanding of tail spend management, supplier segmentation, sourcing, procurement governance, and spend optimization.

- Experience managing RFx, tactical sourcing, spot buys, supplier rationalization, and procurement transactions.

- Strong understanding of procurement policies, approval processes, commercial controls, and compliance.

- Hands-on experience with procurement and ERP platforms such as SAP, SAP Ariba, Coupa, Oracle, Ivalua, or equivalent.

- Strong analytical skills with experience using Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or similar reporting tools.

- Ability to analyze procurement and supplier data and translate findings into actionable business recommendations.

- Experience developing supplier, spend, compliance, and procurement performance dashboards.

- Good understanding of supplier risk, spend leakage, maverick buying, and procurement controls.

- Exposure to AI, automation, guided buying, predictive spend analytics, or digital procurement solutions.

- Strong stakeholder-management and communication skills with the ability to work across multiple business units and geographies.

- Strong problem-solving, process-improvement, and project-management capabilities.

Preferred Experience:

- Experience working in global Pharmaceutical, MedTech, FMCG, or CPG organizations.

- Experience with large-scale procurement transformation or procurement operating-model initiatives.

- Experience implementing or improving tail spend governance frameworks.

- Exposure to AI-enabled procurement, touchless sourcing, or intelligent buying solutions.

- Advanced knowledge of MS Office, SAP/Oracle, Coupa, Ariba, Ivalua, or similar procurement technologies.

Education:

- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Procurement, Finance, Engineering, or a related discipline.

- MBA / specialization in Procurement, Supply Chain, or Operations would be an advantage.
