We are building a meaningful business that will lead change in small towns from unorganized to organized retail. About the role : You will lead the Sell Side of the Staples Category at SuperK stores. This would need you to build and execute various strategies to increase the category share of staples in a customer's basket. You will work closely with the Private Label Lead and other relevant stakeholders to ensure proper interventions are done right from sourcing raw materials from Mills/Wholesalers to selling the finished goods at stores. Knowledge of Telugu - All our operations are in small towns in AP & Telangana, so to excel in this role as the Lead Purchase of Staples, fluency in Telugu language will be mandatory. What you will be doing ? - Manage day-to-day activities of the procurement team - Private Labels - Staples - Device, track and improve key metrics - Vendor management and exploration - Coordination with sell-side teams - Device, track and improve SOPs - Device procurement strategies by taking volumes and sales into consideration (Source backtracking) - Device, implement and track vendor audit process - Set target procurement prices, benchmarks and help the team achieve them - Device negotiation and alternate vendor/product strategies to achieve the desired outcome in key metrics - Device strategies to develop alternate sources and manage vendors What we would like to see in you ? - 6-8 years and above experience in staples procurement - 3-4 years and above experience in retail procurement - Graduate and above - Proficient in MS office and data analytics tool - Strong communication and negotiation skills - Confident with numbers and analytical skills, should be comfortable going into the depth of data and analysing it where needed - Ability to think big picture while being focused on the details - Self-starting, entrepreneurial mindset, and strong work ethic Job Location: Bangalore, Karnataka
