Job Title : Business Head - Textile


Location : Chennai


Department : Business Leadership / Operations


Reports to : CEO / Managing Director


Experience Required : 15+ years in the textile industry, including leadership roles


Job Purpose:


- The Business Head Textile will be responsible for leading the textile division, ensuring business growth, profitability, and operational excellence. This role involves strategic planning, team leadership, market development, customer relationship management, and overseeing production and supply chain activities.


Key Responsibilities:


1. Strategic Leadership:


- Define and execute the overall business strategy for the textile division.


- Develop long-term goals and align them with company-wide objectives.


- Identify growth opportunities in domestic and international markets.


2. P&L Management:


- Manage the profit and loss of the textile business unit.


- Optimize resource utilization to enhance margins and reduce costs.


- Ensure financial targets and budget expectations are met or exceeded.


3. Sales & Marketing


- Oversee marketing strategies, sales forecasting, and customer acquisition.


- Build strong relationships with key clients, distributors, and retail partners.


- Expand market share and enhance brand positioning in target markets.


4. Operations & Supply Chain


- Oversee end-to-end textile operations including procurement, production, and logistics.


- Implement lean manufacturing and process improvement practices.


- Ensure adherence to quality, compliance, and sustainability standards.


5. Team Management


- Lead and develop a high-performing team across functions (sales, production, R&D, etc.).


- Promote a culture of performance, accountability, and innovation.


- Manage talent acquisition, retention, and succession planning.


6. Industry & Market Intelligence


- Monitor industry trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory changes.


- Introduce new product lines or technologies to maintain competitive edge.


- Represent the company at industry forums, trade shows, and conferences.
