Job Description - Sr. Manager / AGM - Taxation (Direct and Indirect)

- Ensuring all statutory compliances are completed accurately and in timely manner.

- Enabling and expediting completion of assessments and audits by the departments.

- Liaising with Internal Auditors, Statutory Auditors relating to tax for smooth closure of audit.

- Liaising with Tax Consultants and tax lawyers for various assessments, litigations etc. and decide further course of action.

- Drafting replies to communications received from tax authorities from time to time.

- Verify the data/details/documents relating to Assessments / Appeals before submission to the appropriate authority.

- Enabling smooth closure of tax due diligence during the fund-raising process by the company.

- Assess and research difficult tax issues to identify solutions.

- Manage and maintain the company's tax database.

- Offer guidance and support during various audits.

- Evaluate tax regulations and suggest the way forward that diminish tax burden.

- Monitor/ implement changes in tax laws & its impact assessment.

- Offer guidance and support on business queries to operations team/business segments for smooth conduct of transactions.

- Train and develop branch staff and subordinates relating to tax.

- Review of Computation of Income, tax audit reports, TP audit report /study, ITR of the group company for correct filings on timely basis.

- Appear before the appropriate statutory authorities for audits and assessments / litigations.

- Maintaining relations with various statutory authorities.

- Implement the changes in tax regulations in accounting systems from time to time.

- Ensuring timely submission of Tax MIS/Compliance Tracker and Assessment status with the stakeholders.

- Stakeholder management & Presentation skills, vendor management

Must have skills:

- Indirect and direct tax

- Audit and compliance (Monthly filing, budgeting, change management, month filing, TDS, monthly advance planning, Tax planning)

- Multiple companies handling

- Transfer pricing
