Role Overview:

The primary responsibility of this position is to strategies and plan the production and procurement of sustainable cotton from our grower groups, ensuring alignment with customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

- Monitor the flow of sustainably produced cotton to ensure continuity, quality assurance, and credibility across all global customers.

- Oversee the activities of all functions involved in the production, procurement, and sale of sustainable cotton.

- Develop a comprehensive marketing and supply chain strategy.

- Collaborate with customers to understand their seasonal requirements, and coordinate with various farmer groups, production units, and ginning facilities to meet these requirements in terms of quantity and quality of cotton.

- Manage the procurement of cotton, including planning, certification, scheduling, inventory management, and mapping with different buyers.

- Ensure effective management of local field staff to achieve farm-level targets.

- Conduct supply chain mappings and value chain assessments for international brands.

- Ensure compliance with various certifications and codes of conduct according to certification and social standard requirements.

- Identify bottlenecks in the cotton supply chain and develop solutions to mitigate them.

- Monitor processes such as farming, ginning, and the supply chain at appropriate times, and conduct audits on supply chain traceability and data credibility.

- Verify documents from all stakeholders in the supply chain at least once per season.

- Stay informed about global trends in the textile industry, particularly in the sustainable cotton space.

- Commercial development and business development of the overall business.

- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of textile sustainability, including knowledge of organic practices, with a strong interest in sustainability issues, preferably in the textile sector.

- Oversee a team of 10-15 individuals and effectively manage customer communications.

- Have experience working with international brands and supply chains.

- Exhibit strong communication skills (both written and spoken) and attentive listening abilities.

- Be proficient with technological systems related to procurement planning, inventory management, and traceability.

- Act as an efficient facilitator of professional relationships and/or groups.

- Work independently, take initiative, and engage others.

Experience and Qualifications:

- 8-10 years of progressive experience in textile supply chain management, production, marketing, and sales.

- 5-8 years of direct management experience in the textile industry.

- Demonstrated strategic thinking with confidence and efficiency in execution.

- Proven leadership skills in building and managing large teams.

- Self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset.
