Role Overview
Responsible for supporting debt fundraising efforts by engaging with impact investors, DFIs, and financial institutions.
The role includes financial modelling, data room management, due diligence coordination, and preparing investor materials.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and engage with debt investors (impact funds, DFIs, climate funds).
- Support deal evaluation, term sheet review, and due diligence.
- Build and maintain financial models (cashflow, debt capacity, scenarios).
- Prepare pitch decks, financial packs, ESG documents, and maintain lender data rooms.
- Map market opportunities and maintain fundraising pipeline.
- Coordinate with finance, operations, ESG, and global country teams.
- Support covenant compliance and investor reporting post-investment.
Must-Have Skills
- Understanding of loans, covenants, and credit documents.
- Strong Excel and financial modelling skills.
- Knowledge of ESG frameworks (IFC PS, SDGs).
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
- Strong stakeholder coordination and documentation management.
- Research, analytical thinking, and attention to detail.
Preferred Background
- Experience in impact funds, DFIs, bank lending, or corporate finance.
- Exposure to emerging markets or agriculture/MSME sectors.
