About the Role:

The Structured Products Middle Office role is responsible for supporting the post-trade lifecycle of structured finance and derivative products. This position acts as a key control function between front office, operations, risk, and external counterparties, ensuring accurate trade capture, confirmations, lifecycle event management, and reconciliations. The role requires strong product knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Trade Support & Lifecycle Management:

- Perform trade validation and booking checks for structured products across various asset classes.

- Ensure timely and accurate confirmation of trades with internal stakeholders and external counterparties.

- Manage lifecycle events such as resets, coupon payments, amendments, early terminations, and maturities.

- Monitor settlement status and resolve settlement-related issues in coordination with operations teams.

Reconciliations & Controls:

- Perform daily reconciliations between front-office systems, middle-office platforms, and downstream systems.

- Identify, investigate, and resolve trade breaks, valuation discrepancies, and cash differences.

- Ensure adherence to operational controls, risk frameworks, and escalation procedures.

- Support internal control reviews, audits, and regulatory requests.

Risk & Compliance Support:

- Work closely with risk, compliance, and finance teams to ensure accurate exposure and P&L reporting.

- Support collateral and margin-related processes for structured products where applicable.

- Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and market best practices.

Stakeholder Management:

- Act as a point of contact for front office, operations, technology, and external counterparties.

- Provide timely responses to trade-related queries and support issue resolution.

- Participate in cross-functional discussions to improve process efficiency and control effectiveness.

Process Improvement & Reporting:

- Contribute to process enhancements, automation initiatives, and documentation updates.

- Prepare and maintain management information, dashboards, and exception reports.

- Assist in onboarding new products, clients, or trading strategies from a middle-office perspective.

Requirements / Qualifications:

Education:

- Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related discipline.

- Professional certifications in finance or capital markets are an added advantage.

Experience:

- 2-7 years of experience in middle-office, trade support, or operations roles within investment banking or capital markets.

- Hands-on experience supporting structured products such as notes, derivatives, or complex securities.

- Exposure to trade lifecycle management, confirmations, settlements, and reconciliations.

Technical & Functional Skills:

- Strong understanding of structured products and post-trade processes.

- Familiarity with trade capture, lifecycle events, and valuation concepts.

- Experience working with middle-office or trade processing systems.

- Proficiency in Excel and data analysis for reconciliations and reporting.

Soft Skills:

- High attention to detail and strong analytical skills.

- Ability to work under tight deadlines in a high-volume environment.

- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact across functions and regions.

- Proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.

Work Environment:

- Fast-paced, deadline-driven capital markets environment.

- High level of interaction with global teams and stakeholders.

- Hybrid or office-based working model, subject to business requirements.
