About the Role:
We are looking for a dynamic and entrepreneurial leader to lead our New Age Business (NAB) team, focused on building and scaling working capital solutions for startups and new-age companies. This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for creating a structured, scalable business in a segment that is currently underserved by traditional lenders.
This role will drive origination through deep engagement with the VC/founder ecosystem, build anchor-led supply chain finance programs, and establish strong distribution partnerships. The incumbent will also bridge on-balance-sheet lending and off-balance-sheet (DCM) distribution, ensuring efficient execution and portfolio quality.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Business Building & Origination
- Build a scalable origination engine through VC/VD relationships, founder networks, and ecosystem partnerships
- Drive consistent deal flow, moving from opportunistic sourcing to a predictable pipeline
- Establish StrideOne as a preferred working capital partner for startups and new-age companies
2. Anchor & Program Development
- Design and activate anchor-led SCF programs for recurring deal flow
- Build ecosystem-driven financing solutions across vendor, dealer, and channel networks
3. Deal Execution & Structuring
- Own end-to-end deal lifecycle: sourcing,structuring, credit evaluation, and closure
- Structure working capital solutions including invoice discounting, SCF, and structured debt
- Prepare and present credit proposals to internal committees
4. DCM & Distribution
- Build and operationalize DCM (Debt Capital Markets) distribution channel
- Partner with banks and NBFCs for co-lending and deal syndication
- Ensure larger mandates are effectively distributed
5. Team Leadership
- Build and lead a high-performing team of Deal Managers and Analysts
- Drive performance through structured pipeline reviews and coaching
- Develop strong capabilities across credit,execution, and client management
6. Portfolio & Risk Management
- Ensure portfolio quality through robust credit underwriting and monitoring
- Track early warning signals and proactively manage delinquencies
- Maintain strong governance across deal structures and documentation
Skills & Competencies:
Technical Skills:
- Deep expertise in working capital products (SCF, invoice discounting, structured lending)
- Strong financial analysis and credit underwriting skills
- Understanding of DCM structuring and partner distribution models
- Experience in portfolio monitoring and risk management
Candidate Profile:
Education:
Mandatory: MBA/PGDM (Finance) or CA
Preferred: Tier 1 MBA or CA with CFA/CMA
Experience:
- 12-16 years in working capital, trade finance, or structured lending
- Proven track record in deal origination through startup/VC networks
- Experience in team management and portfolio ownership
Preferred Background:
- Fintech / New-age NBFC / Startup-focused lending platforms
- Exposure to DCM, co-lending, or structured partnerships
- Strong network across VCs, venture debt funds, and accelerators
