Purpose of the Role:
The Assistant Manager in NAB is responsible for driving client acquisition among funded startups and emerging corporates. The role involves building strong relationships with founders and CFOs to offer tailored Supply Chain Finance (SCF) solutions, including vendor financing, dealer financing, and invoice discounting.
For eligible companies, the Assistant Manager will originate and close own-book facilities. For others, the role requires structuring and placing deals through StrideOnes DCM platform across 50+ lender partners. The position demands strong financial acumen, excellent stakeholder management, and active engagement within the VC, PE, and CA ecosystem to maintain a consistent and high-quality deal pipeline.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and manage a strong pipeline of funded startups across both own-book and DCM channels
- Drive client acquisition and onboarding of new-age businesses
- Structure and originate SCF programs that ensure recurring utilization and long-term relationships
- Engage with founders, CFOs, and senior stakeholders to understand financing needs
- Develop and maintain relationships with VC, PE, and CA networks
- Structure and negotiate deals, ensuring alignment with internal credit and lender frameworks
- Collaborate with internal teams (credit, operations, and lenders) for seamless deal execution
- Build referral partnerships to generate sustained inbound deal flow
Skills & Competencies:
Technical / Functional Skills:
- Strong knowledge of working capital and SCF products
- Credit evaluation and financial analysis
- Deal structuring and negotiation
- Understanding of NBFC lending frameworks and policies
- Sales, pipeline management, and deal closure
- Stakeholder and investor relationship management
- Strong communication and presentation skills
Candidate Profile:
Education (Minimum):
MBA / PGDM in Finance, Marketing, or related field (Tier 1/2 preferred)
Preferred Qualifications: CA / CFA is an added advantage
Experience (Required):
- 3 - 8 years of experience in startup lending, venture debt, fintech/NBFC, or financial services
- Proven experience in B2B client acquisition or deal origination with funded startups or emerging corporates
- Strong understanding of startup financials, MIS, cash flows, and early-stage business models
- Experience in supply chain finance, invoice discounting, or working capital products
- Existing relationships within the startup ecosystem (founders, CFOs, VC/PE investors)
