Overview

As a Business Development Manager (BDM) at TapMind, you will be a senior driver of the companys pipeline, responsible for high-level lead sourcing, strategic outreach, and securing qualified appointments for the Sales Development (SD) team. This role requires an experienced hunter with a proven track record in securing leads from various sources and converting interest into scheduled calls. You must be a presentable and professional representative of TapMind at all relevant external events.

Responsibilities:

- Strategic Prospecting & Outreach:


- Develop and execute advanced prospecting strategies to identify and secure high-value leads from databases, online tools, and market research.


- Master multi-channel outreach (email, LinkedIn, events etc) to generate a positive response from prospects willing to speak with the SD team.


- Conduct highly personalized, targeted communication to executive-level decision-makers.


- Provide feedback and insights to the wider marketing and sales teams to refine targeting and messaging strategies.

- Market Presence & Lead Generation:


- Act as a professional and presentable representative of TapMind while attending industry events, conferences, and networking functions.


- Strategically collect new leads and potential clients from these events, ensuring detailed follow-up actions are planned.


- Gather competitive intelligence and market trends to inform and enhance the overall sales strategy.

- Appointment Setting & Conversion:


- Effectively qualify prospective accounts to ensure a high quality of scheduled meetings for the SD team.


- Successfully convert positive outreach responses into scheduled calls/meetings for the SD team, which is the primary goal of this role.


- Ensure seamless and professional handover of qualified prospects and all relevant background context to the SD team.

- Leadership & Mentorship:


- Provide strategic guidance, coaching, and best practices to the Business Development Representatives (BDRs) who report to this role.


- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the outbound sales playbook and processes.

- Reporting & CRM Management:


- Own and maintain all lead data, communication history, and prospecting progress accurately within the CRM system.


- Analyze and report on the effectiveness of outreach and event participation, including conversion rates and pipeline generation contribution.

Qualifications:

- Master's/ Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing, or a related discipline.


- 3+ years of proven success in a high-volume B2B Sales or Business Development role.


- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on professional presentation and high-impact messaging.


- Expertise in utilizing sales tools, including CRM systems, LinkedIn, and email marketing platforms.


- Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed monthly/quarterly quota targets for scheduled appointments.


- High level of organizational and time management skills, with a focus on prioritizing strategic activities.


- Professional demeanor and a self-motivated, proactive approach to territory ownership.
