Description:
Role Overview:
The Strategy Manager / Strategic Planning Lead will work closely with the senior leadership team to define, drive, and implement the organisation's strategic roadmap. This role requires a blend of analytical skills, business acumen, cross-functional leadership, and an ability to convert strategy into actionable plans.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning & Execution:
- Develop, refine, and manage the organisation's long-term strategic plan and annual operating plans.
- Conduct market analysis, competitive benchmarking, and internal capability assessments to inform strategic direction.
- Translate strategic objectives into actionable initiatives with defined targets, timelines, and KPIs.
- Monitor progress of strategic initiatives and ensure alignment with business goals.
Business Insights & Analysis:
- Identify emerging trends, business opportunities, and potential risks.
- Conduct financial modeling, feasibility studies, and impact analysis for new initiatives.
- Prepare strategy decks, executive briefing notes, and board-level presentations.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Partner with Product, Operations, Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Technology teams to drive strategic initiatives.
- Act as the liaison between leadership and functional teams to ensure operational alignment and seamless execution.
- Facilitate inter-departmental communication to track project outcomes and resolve bottlenecks.
Project Management & Governance:
- Drive end-to-end implementation of key strategic programs.
- Establish governance frameworks, dashboards, and performance monitoring mechanisms.
- Maintain project documentation, risk logs, and milestone trackers.
Change Management & Organisational Development:
- Support the leadership team in driving organisational transformation initiatives.
- Evaluate current processes and recommend improvements to optimise efficiency and effectiveness.
- Lead workshops, brainstorming sessions, and strategic reviews.
Key Skills Required:
- Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in market research, business analytics, and financial modeling.
- Ability to convert strategy into execution with clear milestones.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management abilities.
- High proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and data-driven decision-making.
- Experience in project management tools and frameworks (e.g., OKRs, Agile, PMO methodologies) preferred.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Economics, or related field.
- MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification preferred.
- 510 years of experience in Strategic Planning, Business Strategy, Corporate Strategy, or Management Consulting.
