Our client a leading consulting firm partnering with a prominent public sector bank on a transformative, 12-month strategic engagement. The initiative aims to design and implement a robust medium-term strategy for the bank, with a strong emphasis on MSME (Micro, Small & Medium Enterprise) sector development.

The consulting firm seeks to onboard a strategy consultant with proven MSME strategy expertise. These professionals will play a pivotal role in shaping the banks MSME agenda - working closely with client teams and stakeholders to develop strategic frameworks, drive key decisions, and ensure successful execution of high-impact initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead the formulation of a medium-term MSME growth and transformation strategy for the bank

- Conduct in-depth diagnostic reviews of current MSME operations, product portfolios, and customer segments

- Identify strategic priorities and opportunity areas across lending, digital finance, partnerships, and market expansion

- Support the design of implementation roadmaps, ensuring operational alignment and measurable impact

- Facilitate stakeholder workshops and strategy sessions to align internal teams and leadership on key initiatives

- Track and report on strategic milestones and KPIs, ensuring timely progress and course correction where needed

- Provide strategic advisory support on new business models, policy enablement, and ecosystem collaboration

Your Background:

- Deep expertise in MSME banking strategy, business transformation, or financial sector consulting

- 5-10 years of experience advising public sector banks, NBFCs, fintechs, or financial institutions

- Proven track record of developing and executing strategic plans or transformation initiatives in the financial services sector

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills with hands-on exposure to strategic planning, execution governance, and performance monitoring

- Advanced degrees (MBA, CA, CFA, or equivalent) preferred; certifications in strategy or management consulting are highly valued

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to engage effectively with senior stakeholders

This is a 12-month (extendable) contractual opportunity based in BKC, Mumbai.
