Our client, a global consulting firm, has been engaged by a large Public Sector Organisation under the Government of India to embed high-calibre strategic talent directly within its senior leadership apparatus.

The engagement forms part of a broader initiative to strengthen executive decision-making, reform communication, and performance oversight across key domains, including Logistics, Financial Services, Insurance, and Citizen Services. Materials produced in this role flow directly to the Prime Minister's Office, Cabinet Minister, and Ministry Secretariat.

Role & Impact:

As the embedded Strategy consultant, you will operate as the final analytical and editorial gatekeeper for all leadership submissions.

You will synthesise fragmented operational data into coherent, Minister-ready narratives, eliminate discrepancies before they reach the top, and ensure every briefing balances accuracy, strategic clarity, and political sensitivity. Your work will directly shape how the organisation's performance and reform agenda are presented at the highest levels of government.

Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare end-to-end Ministerial review decks, Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs), and briefing notes by synthesising inputs from all verticals into single, decision-ready documents.

- Compile, validate, and reconcile operational data (YoY revenue, growth rates, period comparisons) across departments while maintaining full source traceability.

- Translate raw metrics into high-level strategic insights, draft reform narratives, and ensure consistent messaging for Minister-level and external audiences.

- Liaise with Divisional Heads and functional managers to secure timely, accurate inputs while navigating hierarchical sensitivities and competing priorities.

- Own final quality control, version control, and presentation standards-ensuring zero errors reach the Minister's Office.

- Act as the horizontal interface across all business verticals, functioning as the last checkpoint before leadership submission.

Your Background:

- 2-6 years post-qualification experience in a top-tier management consulting firm (strategy, public sector, or infrastructure practice), policy/government advisory role (PMO, NITI Aayog, think tank), or strategy/CEO Office in a large public sector undertaking.

- MBA/PGDM from a premier Tier-1 or Tier-2 institution, OR Master's degree in Public Policy, Economics, or related field.

- Advanced command of PowerPoint (structure, visual hierarchy, formatting), Excel (large-dataset cleaning, reconciliation, pivot analysis), and MS Word.

- Proven ability to convert multi-source, fragmented data into coherent narratives with strong judgement on inclusion, exclusion, and escalation.

- Demonstrated stakeholder management across seniority levels and comfort operating with high autonomy in ambiguous, hierarchical environments.

- Prior public-sector or government-advisory exposure strongly preferred; impeccable academic record and impeccable written English required.
