Role Overview:
As a Strategist for Workplace Design, you will sit at the intersection of human-centered design and organizational strategy, shaping how people interact with their physical and digital environments. You will partner with cross-functional teams, including architects, interior designers, and client stakeholders, to translate complex business needs into intuitive, high-impact workplace experiences. Your day-to-day involves conducting deep-dive research to map customer journeys, developing compelling strategic POVs, and guiding the transition from conceptual archetypes to tangible, functional spaces. By bridging the gap between abstract user needs and technical execution, you will directly influence how organizations foster culture, productivity, and innovation within their offices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Translate business objectives into comprehensive experience briefs that serve as the foundation for all design and architectural interventions.
- Develop detailed customer journeys and user archetypes to ensure workplace solutions are tailored to the specific behavioral patterns and needs of diverse employee groups.
- Author strategic POVs that challenge conventional office layouts, advocating for human-centered design principles that enhance long-term organizational performance.
- Collaborate with technical teams to oversee the translation of design concepts into precise working drawings, ensuring that the final build remains true to the original strategic intent.
- Facilitate workshops with senior client stakeholders to align project visions, ensuring that workplace design serves as a catalyst for business transformation.
- Manage the end-to-end service design process, ensuring that physical environments are seamlessly integrated with the operational workflows of the client.
Required Skillset:
- Demonstrated ability to synthesize complex qualitative and quantitative data into actionable design strategies that drive measurable business outcomes.
- Proven expertise in applying human-centered design methodologies to large-scale spatial projects, with a portfolio that showcases a deep understanding of workplace dynamics.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex strategic concepts to C-suite stakeholders and lead collaborative design sessions.
- Proficiency in technical documentation and the ability to bridge the gap between high-level strategy and the production of accurate working drawings.
- Strong analytical mindset, capable of identifying user pain points and designing iterative service design solutions that evolve with changing business needs.
- A minimum of 5 to 12 years of professional experience in workplace strategy, interior architecture, or management consulting, with a track record of delivering high-end corporate projects.
- Ability to thrive in a hybrid work environment, balancing on-site client consultations and design reviews with collaborative remote strategy development.
