Position: Strategic Executive Assistant to the Managing Director

Location: Andheri (East), Mumbai

Company Overview: A top-tier diversified mid-market investment banking and financial services firm with deep expertise in investment banking, asset management, and corporate advisory. The firm is renowned for its strategic agility, ethical leadership, and commitment to excellence.

Overview

A rare opportunity for seasoned investment bankers to step into a high-trust, strategic role alongside the Managing Director of a leading financial services group specializing in investment banking, asset management, and corporate advisory. This is not a conventional EA role - it demands financial fluency, emotional intelligence, and grounded execution. We are seeking a discreet, high-calibre professional to serve as the MD's strategic right hand, thriving in high-stakes financial environments while maintaining professional humility and adaptability.

Ideal Profile

- MBA (Finance) or CA from a reputed institution

- 8-10 years of exclusive investment banking experience (deal structuring, financial transactions, advisory); total experience not exceeding 10 years

- Grounded, mature mindset; open to a meaningful career pivot with professional humility

- Exceptional judgment, confidentiality, and emotional intelligence

- Proficient in MS Office, financial modelling, and productivity tools

- Willing to perform PA duties (calendar, travel, logistics) with humility

- Financial motivation should not be the primary driver; candidates seeking more than a 20% salary hike from their current CTC will not be considered under any circumstances, including reasons such as missed promotions (within 2 months-1 year) or role-specific demands

- Focus on long-term leadership growth over financial motivation (>20% CTC hike will not be considered; CTC negotiation on grounds of missed promotions will also not be considered)

Role Overview:

The organization is seeking an accomplished Executive Assistant with a robust investment banking background to provide strategic and operational support to the Managing Director. This high-impact role requires a professional with in-depth knowledge of investment banking processes, financial jargon, and deal dynamics, coupled with a humble and grounded approach to performing personal assistance tasks. The incumbent will serve as a trusted advisor, ensuring seamless coordination of the MD's domestic and international engagements, strategic initiatives, and high-level stakeholder interactions while managing calendar, travel, and logistical responsibilities with finesse. Candidates must demonstrate a mature mindset, respect for the leadership journey, alignment with organizational values, and a commitment to long-term growth over short-term financial gains.

Role Brief: Executive Assistant to the Managing Director

This is a high-stakes, strategic role designed for an investment banking professional who can operate as the MD's right-hand, seamlessly blending the precision of financial leadership with the groundedness of personal assistance.

The ideal candidate will embody the following:

Domain Expertise

- Strong working knowledge of investment banking, including financial transactions, deal structuring, and advisory processes

- Ability to grasp complex financial jargon, stay alert during high-level meetings with senior stakeholders, create strategic summaries, and provide self-driven insights

- Comfortable in environments where strategic decisions and confidential information are discussed

Leadership Potential

- High energy, self-driven, and future-facing mindset with a genuine desire to transition into a senior leadership role through dedication and trust-building

- Eager to be mentored by the Managing Director, demonstrating integrity and alignment with the organization's values to earn a strategic leadership position

- Demonstrates initiative, maturity, and discretion in all interactions, with balanced professionalism and a commitment to humility

Grounded Execution

- Willingness to manage personal assistance responsibilities with humility, including:

- The MD's travel, calendar, and appointments

- Other logistical and administrative tasks as required

- Comfortable with long hours, aligned to the MD's demanding schedule, and respectful of the effort inherent in leadership growth

Confidentiality & Trust

- This role involves access to sensitive and strategic information across the organization, requiring absolute discretion, loyalty, and emotional intelligence

- The candidate will be a core part of the MD's decision-making ecosystem, akin to a trusted advisor to a top industry leader, and must uphold the organization's values without fail

- Must maintain a humble and professional approach, demonstrating respect for the organization's journey and ethical standards

Compensation Note

- This role is for candidates driven by long-term leadership growth, not short-term financial gains. The organization will not entertain candidates seeking more than a 20% salary hike from their current CTC. No grounds for seeking a higher salary, including missed promotions within the next 2 months to 1 year or role-specific demands, will be considered. Candidates prioritizing significant salary increases will not be considered under any circumstances.

Role Highlights

- Meeting Support & Strategic Insights: Attend meetings with the MD, capture every detail, understand financial and investment banking terminology, create strategic summaries, and provide self-driven insights to inform the MD's decisions.

- Strategic Enablement & Executive Support: Act as an extension of the Managing Director, leveraging investment banking expertise to drive high-priority deliverables across geographies. Support deal execution, strategic initiatives, and decision-making with rigorous tracking and proactive follow-ups.

- Sector Intelligence & Policy Advisory: Stay abreast of trends in investment banking and related financial sectors. Analyse Government of India financial sector policies to deliver actionable, forward-looking insights to inform the MD's strategic decisions.

- Executive Enablement: Manage the MD's calendar, travel, and engagements with precision, balancing operational efficiency with strategic priorities, and execute personal assistance tasks with humility.

- CXO-Level Communication: Draft high-impact presentations, financial reports, and correspondence tailored to investment banking audiences. Represent the MD's voice with clarity and discretion.

- Stakeholder Management: Engage with senior investment banking leaders, industry bodies, and government representatives, building trust and credibility across all interactions.
