Job Summary:


We are seeking a skilled Credit Risk Strategy Analyst with strong expertise in SAS and SQL to join our risk management team.

The successful candidate will play a key role in developing, implementing, and monitoring credit risk strategies by leveraging data analytics and predictive modeling techniques.

This role requires a blend of analytical skills, risk knowledge, and technical proficiency to enhance the banks credit risk decision-making framework.


Key Responsibilities:


- Develop and implement credit risk models and strategies to assess, monitor, and mitigate credit risk exposure.

- Utilize SAS and SQL to extract, manipulate, and analyze large datasets for risk assessment and strategy development.

- Perform credit portfolio analysis, segmentation, and risk scoring to identify trends, patterns, and emerging risks.

- Collaborate with data scientists, credit risk officers, and business stakeholders to develop robust risk models.

- Design and execute validation procedures for credit risk models and reporting.

- Generate comprehensive reports and dashboards that communicate risk findings and strategy recommendations clearly to senior management.

- Monitor performance of credit risk strategies and models, adjusting as needed based on data insights.

- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal risk management policies.

- Support credit policy formulation and updates by providing data-driven insights.

- Stay updated on industry best practices and regulatory changes in credit risk management.


Required Qualifications:


- Bachelors or Masters degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related field.

- Proven experience in credit risk analysis, credit risk strategy, or related areas.

- Strong proficiency in SAS for data analysis, statistical modeling, and reporting.

- Advanced skills in SQL for data extraction, transformation, and database querying.

- Experience with credit risk models such as PD, LGD, EAD, and scorecards is preferred.

- Solid understanding of credit risk regulations (e.g., Basel III/IV, IFRS 9) and risk frameworks.

- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.


- Ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams and manage competing priorities.
