Role Summary:
- The Store Manager is responsible for managing the end-to-end operations of the company store in Bengaluru.
- The role focuses on achieving sales targets, maintaining brand standards, delivering an exceptional customer experience, managing store staff, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations with profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales & Business Development:
- Drive and achieve store sales targets and KPIs.
- Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports and take corrective actions.
- Implement local marketing activities and promotional campaigns to increase footfall.
- Identify opportunities to enhance customer engagement and sales conversion.
- Ensure strong visual merchandising that aligns with brand positioning.
Customer Experience:
- Ensure a world-class shopping experience through personalized customer service.
- Resolve customer queries and escalations effectively.
- Encourage team members to build long-term relationships with customers.
- Monitor NPS (Net Promoter Score), feedback, and implement improvements.
Store Operations:
- Oversee store opening and closing procedures, billing, cash management, and stock reconciliation.
- Ensure adherence to company SOPs and operational guidelines.
- Manage inventory levels, product replenishment, and prevent stock-outs or overstocking.
- Maintain visual merchandising, cleanliness, and hygiene as per company standards.
- Coordinate with the Area/Cluster Manager for operational support and updates.
Team Leadership:
- Recruit, train, and motivate store staff to deliver performance excellence.
- Conduct daily briefings, goal-setting, and performance appraisals.
- Foster a positive and productive work environment focused on teamwork and accountability.
- Schedule shifts and manage manpower to ensure adequate coverage during peak hours.
Financial Management:
- Manage store-level P&L and ensure profitability.
- Control operational expenses, minimize shrinkage, and reduce wastage.
- Track key financial metrics such as sales per square foot, basket size, and gross margin.
Compliance & Audit:
- Ensure compliance with company policies, statutory regulations, and safety standards.
- Maintain documentation for audits, inventory checks, and cash transactions.
- Conduct periodic self-audits to ensure process adherence and loss prevention.
Market Awareness:
- Stay updated on local market trends, competitor activity, and customer preferences.
- Share insights with regional teams to improve product mix or local campaigns.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Graduate in Business, Retail, Commerce, or related field.
- MBA preferred.
- 3-6 years in premium/lifestyle/fashion retail, with at least 2 years in a store leadership role.
- Leadership, sales acumen, customer service, team management, visual merchandising, and data-driven decision-making skills.
- Proficiency in POS, MS Office, and basic inventory management software.
- Willingness to work weekends, holidays, and flexible hours as per store schedule.
