Job Title: Assistant Manager- Security
Location: Delhi

JOB Description:
The AM-Security is responsible for Assisting in implementing, and managing security policies, procedures, and programs to ensure the safety and security of guests, employees, and property assets. This role requires strong leadership, vigilance, and coordination with other departments to maintain a safe and welcoming environment. The individual plays a vital role in maintaining the Design Districts luxurious ambiance and operational integrity.
Key Responsibilities:
Security Operations:
- Assist in managing the day-to-day security operations of the Design District.
- Monitor surveillance systems, patrol activities, and access control.
- Ensure round-the-clock safety and security of Clients, staff, and property.
- Compile and distribute security reports to relevant departments.
- Direct and coordinate the activities of all security personnel, engage in the implementation of safety and security procedures for the department, and provide assistance.
- Rendering First-Aid to Clients and employees as required by internal guidelines.
- Ensure all incidents are documented as required by internal guidelines.
- Safeguard company assets including cash, equipment, and confidential information.
- Ensure UHNI and HNI clients security protocols are maintained.
Team Leadership & Management:
- Work closely with the other functions & department team leads, manage, and motivate the Security team.
- Recruit, train, and develop Security staff: Ensuring they possess the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
- Develop and manage staff schedules effectively: Ensuring adequate coverages for all operational needs.
- Foster a culture of teamwork, safety, and continuous improvement within the department.
- Conduct regular departmental meetings and briefings.
Safety & Compliance:
- Ensure adherence to all local, national, and international safety regulations and codes.
- Implement and monitor safety procedures and protocols throughout the Design District.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and security audits of the property.
- Ensure all necessary permits and licenses are up to date.
- Enforce security policies, SOPs, and emergency response procedures.
- Alarm system (intrusion, fire, panic alarms)
- Fire safety equipment (Extinguishers, hydrants, fire hoses) and refilling.
- Ensure the efficient handling of lost and found items.
Budgeting & Financial Management:
- Ensure the Security department budget: Controlling expenses and ensuring cost-effective operations.
- Minimize payroll costing by effective staff control and hiring processes.
- Effective control over valet parking to ensure minimal costs.
- Monitor and analyze departmental expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Prepare and present regular reports on Security activities and performance.
- Manage and negotiate contracts with external vendors and contractors.
Project Management & Coordination:
- Manage and execute security-related projects: Including renovations, upgrades, and new installations.
- Coordinate with other departments: Such as Front Office, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage and Engineering, to ensure smooth operations and address any technical issues.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Master's/Bachelor's degree in Security Management or related field preferred.
- Minimum 8 to 10 years of security experience (hospitality/luxury sector preferred) and maintenance within luxury hotels or similar hospitality environments in India.
- Prior experience in law Enforcement, Ex Defense Services will be given preferences.
- Proven experience in managing and leading a Security Team.
- Strong leadership, training, and crisis management skills.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations and procedures.
- Experience in project management and budget control.
- Knowledge of CCTV, access control, and fire safety systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
